Hannah Foster achieves above national swing
In the recent General Election Hannah Foster was disappointed not to be elected to represent the City of Exeter.
Despite achieving above national swing of over 8% to the Conservatives of which 6% came from Labour. This was a bigger swing than the national picture. Recent boundary changes gave Labour a huge advantage and the surprising lack of support for the Liberal Democrats were both key factors in the result.
Hannah Foster said of the result“I believe we had the most positive, visionary campaign in the City. I want to thank all those people who put their trust in me and the Conservative Party. I want to thank my team of volunteers who worked very hard to achieve such a high swing. I am sorry that I will not be representing Exeter in Westminster. I will continue to live here and keep up all my voluntary activities here – there is much work I want to do on the ground Exeter – I intend to do that.”
